Every appeal deserves its own form
A general "donate" form is a fine front door, but campaigns convert because they're specific. Donor Merchant lets you create unlimited campaigns, each a self-contained donation form with its own:
- Goal — with a live progress thermometer that updates as gifts arrive
- Suggested amounts — tuned to the ask ($20 for a food drive, $1,000 for a building)
- Description — the story and the why, right above the form
- Status — active, draft, or closed
The thermometer that drives action
Progress bars are one of the most reliable conversion boosters in fundraising — social proof and urgency in a single glance. Donor Merchant renders a clean "$18,400 of $25,000" thermometer that fills as completed gifts come in. Drop it on the form, or show it anywhere on your site with a shortcode:
[donor_merchant campaign="3"] <!-- full form with goal -->
[donor_merchant_progress campaign="3"] <!-- just the thermometer -->
Put the standalone thermometer on your homepage and link it to the campaign page — a proven pattern for momentum.
Everything still flows to one place
Campaign gifts land in the same donor database, reports, receipts, and CSV export as everything else — each donation tagged with its campaign so you can see exactly what each appeal raised. Recurring gifts and renewals stay attributed to their campaign automatically.
Free, where others charge
Campaign tooling and goal tracking are included in the free plugin — no tier upgrade, no add-on.
